On the morning of December 4, the College of Foreign Languages (CFL), TYUT held a meeting on the topic of “Good Wishes on Postgraduate Entrance Examination” in the lecture hall in the college building to give encouragement to the fourth-year students who are preparing for the 2021 postgraduate entrance examination. Professor Liu Bing, secretary of the Communist Party Committee of the CFL, Zheng Weiguo, deputy secretary of the college Communist Party Committee, all the students counselors and more than 50 students attended this meeting.

 12月4日上午，外国语学院在学院报告厅举办“研途光明、好梦成真”为2021届考研学生加油送祝福主题活动。学院党委书记刘兵、副书记郑为国、全体辅导员以及50余位准备考研的学生参加了本次活动。

Professor Liu Bing spoke at the meeting expressing his sincere wishes. He hoped that all the students would deal with the exam with an optimistic attitude. He told the students that the postgraduate entrance examination was an important choice for students and a critical turning point in their study career. He wished that they would make their dreams come true. However, whatever the result would be like, it was just a life stage in one’s whole life. All of us should hope for the best, prepare for the worst. He suggested that all the students have a positive mindset, make reasonable arrangement for their daily study and life, and attend the examination with optimistic attitude. Mr. Zheng Weiguo also expressed his good wishes to the students on the incoming examination.

 首先，刘兵代表学院党政为同学们送上了真挚的祝福。他讲到，面对即将到来的研究生入学考试，希望大家调整心态，以乐观向上的态度面对考试；考研对于同学们来说是一个重要选择，也是学习生涯的一个重要节点，但是对于人的一生来说它只是一个短暂的经历，大家既要重视考研结果，更要重视向着更高目标努力前进的过程；他希望同学们积极调整好心态，安排好日常作息和生活，以更加良好的状态迎接考试，相信通过努力大家一定会收获自己的心愿。随后，郑为国介绍了学院安排本次活动的初衷，并再次为同学们送上了祝福。

At the end of the meeting, each student got a package from the CFL including a pressure-relief ball, a good-wish letter from junior students, an orange with the meaning of "a successful start", all of which presented the sincere wishes and care from the CFL. The students expressed their gratitude to the CFL for the love and care they had deeply felt.

最后，院领导和辅导员为到场的每一名学生送上了学院精心准备的考研礼包。一份考试工具包，一个解压球，一封来自学弟学妹们的考研加油信，一个寓意“旗开得胜、乘风破浪”的脐橙，礼包里的每一件物品都饱含着学院对同学们的真挚祝福。到场的同学纷纷表示，感谢学院的关心和祝福，今天的活动感到很温暖，心情也轻松了很多，大家一定会积极调整状态，从容地面对即将到来了的研究生入学考试。

In recent years, the postgraduate enrollment of CFL graduates remains high and 85% of them have got admitted as master candidates by “double first-class” universities and high-level foreign language universities. The CFL makes constant efforts to impart knowledge and educate people making “cultivating people with moral integrity” as the vital mission. The college will continue to practice “student-centered” work philosophy to serve the students and foster talents.

 近年来，外国语学院本科生考研升学率一直保持较好的水平，其中考取“双一流”高校和外语类高水平院校的人数更是占到研究生录取总人数的85%左右。今后，学院将继续坚持贯彻“立德树人”的根本任务，践行“以学生为中心”的工作理念，围绕学生所想所需，多举措开展教育和服务，助力学生健康成长成才。
